1. Set Clear Intentions
The first thing you need to do to manifest what you want in life is to know what you want.
This may seem straightforward, but many people struggle to pinpoint what their true desires are when reflecting.
This is important.
You can’t ask the Universe for something if you don’t know what you’re asking for.
So, to help you I’ve come up with a few tips to figure out what you want in life.
First off, don’t listen to what other people say, you need to go deep inside and decide for yourself what is important to you.
Maybe it’s something physical like a new car, or that house you’ve always dreamed of.
I suggest taking your time and really defining your values.
Figure out what is truly important to you, and what you want more of in your life.
Maybe you want more free time, time with family, more traveling, or to not stress about finances.
Here are a few great ways you can figure out what is important to you besides just sitting in silence and overthinking about it.
Because we all know we’ve tried this approach before, and it doesn’t really work…
Journaling About Your Desires
Write it all down.
You can do a giant brain dump of all your thoughts and desires, or if you need some pointers try asking yourself these important questions:
- What’s important to me? (Ignore everyone else’s opinion.)
- What kind of person do I want to be?
- What brings me true joy?
- If I didn’t have to worry about fears or boundaries, what would I have? Where would I go? What type of person would I be?
- What do I want to leave behind in this world? Is there an impact I want to make?
Scripting Your New Life
Scripting is another amazing way to set the stage for the new life and new identity you’re creating.
When you script you are writing like these things you desire have already happened. For example, a scripted sentence around financial success might be “I am so excited and filled with joy that my business made X amount of money this month and now I own my dream car X because of it.”
When scripting it always helps to add emotion into it because that’s how your body remembers, it feels through emotions.
Create a Vision Board
If journaling or scripting isn’t your thing then you can also try creating a vision board to manifest what you want in life.
Vision boards are a great way to manifest because you are creating a visual, and I know for me personally I always remember better when I see something like a picture, photo, etc.
When you continuously look at a vision board the images you’ve chosen get ingrained into your mind. This helps to instill the idea that this life you see every day on your vision board is yours and will come true.
It helps to instill these thoughts into your subconscious mind.
You can create a physical vision board by printing off photos and putting them onto a picture frame or blank canvas.
Once you’ve made your physical vision board, you have to place it somewhere you are going to see it multiple times per day.
If you work from home, putting it in your home office is a great place. This will help keep you motivated to continue working towards your goals. Or you can hang it in your bedroom or any other area you are in many times during the day.
You can also create a virtual vision board through a program like Canva and then use that as the background on your computer or phone. Using a vision board as a computer or phone background is another good idea because how many times do you look at your phone or computer… I bet a lot.
It’s all about ingraining this image of your new life into your mind.
These are a few great points to help you dig deep and find what truly calls to you.

2. Creating Faith in Your New Identity
The next step in how to manifest what you want in life is to truly believe you are worthy of it and that it’s already yours.
This might sound simple, but it’s actually one of the most challenging parts. Our minds can deceive us, and we can quickly revert to our default mindset, which is often one of negative connotations. Personally, I often battle with self-doubt and feelings of unworthiness, which I consciously work to overcome every day.
For many, overcoming self-doubt and similar thoughts is crucial. We must push past these barriers and genuinely believe deep down that we are destined for greatness and capable of achieving everything we desire.
Once these new positive thoughts become habitual, your new identity will really start to shift and transform.
To shift your mindset towards positivity, start by practicing gratitude.
Gratitude redirects our focus from scarcity to abundance. It nurtures a mindset of positivity and faith in our future.
It’s all about rewriting your life’s narrative from the sad story you keep telling yourself to one of fulfillment and joy.
And then have this new narrative on repeat in your mind.
Keep telling yourself this new positive story every single day, over and over.
When you wake up, when your mind wanders to negative self-talk, and before you go to bed.
Repetition trains your brain to accept this new narrative as reality.
This process takes time and dedication. Consistent practice ingrains this new identity until it feels natural and a part of who you are.
The goal is for our subconscious to embrace this new narrative as truth, aligning our actions and goals to manifest positive outcomes.
Affirmations for Identity Shift
A tip is to use affirmations. Have a list of affirmations ready so that when you need a little boost assisting your mind into an abundant state you have them locked and loaded.
I’ve come up with a few examples you can use:
- I am worthy of all the success, happiness, and abundance that flows into my life.
- I trust in my ability to create the life I desire.
- Every day, I am becoming the best version of myself.
- I attract positivity and love effortlessly.
- I believe in my dreams and pursue them with passion and determination.
- I release all self-doubt and fear and trust in the Universe to guide me.
- I am grateful for all the abundance that surrounds me.
- My mind is clear, focused, and aligned with my goals.
- I deserve to live a life filled with joy and fulfillment.
- I am capable, confident, and courageous in all I do.
- I am the creator of my destiny; I choose my reality with intention and purpose.
Use these affirmations to help shift your mindset towards believing in your capabilities and attracting positive outcomes that align with your desires.

Meditation and visualization!
Create a calming atmosphere with soft lighting and find a cozy spot to sit. Close your eyes and focus on your breath.
Visualize yourself in your new identity.
Confident, accomplished, thriving in all aspects of your life.
Picture the specific details, your career, relationships, and health. Every detail that reflects your desires you pinpointed at the beginning of this journey.
As you’re visualizing your new life feel the emotions of success and joy fill you up. As if it’s all happening right now. Absorb those feelings deeply.
Emotions are a powerful tool to help rewire your brain and reinforce your belief in your true potential.
Dedicate a few minutes daily to this exercise and watch how it empowers you to make choices and take actions that align with your desires and lead you closer to your dreams.

Start by breaking down your goals into smaller tasks. Large goals can be overwhelming. By breaking them down into smaller more manageable tasks, they seem less scary and allow you to celebrate small victories.
Which helps keep you motivated to continue moving forward.
Try also setting deadlines and milestones. Setting specific milestones can help you track your progress and having deadlines creates structure and accountability. Tailor these deadlines to help you reach your ultimate goals.
